Business School In A Box Or In A Classroom?

On a drive back from the beach I was thinking about the whole concept of a "business school in a box" vs. a typical business school classroom.

I come from a world of entrepreneurs and honestly, the whole concept of going to school to learn about business is a joke to me.... and most other entrepreneurs.

The truth is, no amount of classroom or book learning can give you the experience and know how to make a small business work. It just can't be done. Professors can't teach you how to make payroll or how to effectively sell your product... or even better... how to deal with upset clients. (Not to mention how to make advertising work.)

I guess that's why I'm such a fan of Dan Kennedy's Magnetic Marketing System.

Here's a guy who truly walks his talk and didn't go to college yet has succeed far beyond most peoples imaginations. I guess I'm just such a fan of his "real-life" business school in a box
that I can't help but recommend it.

Most of the lessons I've learned in business have come from in-the-trenches experience. And luckily I've had the right tools to help me through the tough times.

Anyway, just a quick rant.
